Yellow fever is a viral infection spread by mosquito species common to areas of Africa and South America.

Symptoms

Mild cases may cause no symptoms, or may cause fever and chills, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Serious cases may cause dangerously high fever, bleeding, or failure of the liver, kidney or heart.

Treatments

No specific treatment for yellow fever exists. Vaccination is recommended before traveling to certain areas.
