Although I also get immense satisfaction from making sick children feel better, I see my role more as being an advocate for the prevention of disease - making sure children are vaccinated, using car seats appropriately, wearing helmets, using seatbelts, staying active, limiting screen time and developing healthy habits that hopefully will stay with them through adulthood.”

God’s work is awesome and fascinating. I enjoy “fixing” things, a trait I inherited from my father who was and still is a mechanic. He would take apart and fix anything that wouldn’t work. I enjoy the daily challenge of figuring out how to manage each patient’s particular problem. Each person is different. I find it rewarding to help others. What I enjoy most is the art of medicine that melds all the above together.”
