Altru Presents Scholarships to Local High School Graduates

Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health System recently presented scholarships to 21 local high school graduates pursuing careers in health care or related sciences. The $200 scholarships were presented in communities where Altru has a full time physician based. Award criteria include academic achievement, citizenship, personality, interview and recommendations, determined by a local committee consisting of a science instructor, school counselor and principal.                                                                                                                                  

“By supporting local students, we support our region’s need for health care professionals,” explains Marlene Miller, manager of Learning and Organizational Development at Altru. “Encouraging future leaders across our region helps bring our mission to life.”
