Dr. Michael Pylman Joins Altru Health System
Altru Health System, Grand Forks, ND –Michael Pylman, MD, joins Altru’s Pain Management Department. Dr. Pylman received a degree in chemistry and biology from Stanford University. He received a medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed his anesthesiology residency through Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Pylman was the Director of Pain Management at South Coast Orthopedic Associates in Coos Bay, Oregon. Most recently he was an anesthesiologist in obstetrics at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. Dr. Pylman is a member of the American Board or Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine.

Altru’s Pain Management Department works closely with other specialties to ensure our patients’ pain is cared for appropriately. The staff at the interventional pain management clinic understand the physical, financial, psychological and social burdens of intractable pain. Procedures may be done under fluoroscopic guidance. Procedures include steroid epidural injections, sympathetic nerve blocks, intrathecal drug delivery system, neurostimultion, and many others.
