Altru Hosts Annual Spin for Kids Event
Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health System will host Spin for Kids on April 12, 2014 at Sacred Heart School in East Grand Forks, Minn. from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Spin for Kids is an indoor race on stationary bikes. Teams of eight raise pledges to provide supportive programs, services and equipment to children with special needs within our community and region. All proceeds will be disbursed to qualifying families to help ease the struggles they face every day and help children live the fullest life possible.
“We are absolutely thrilled about Spin for Kids. This is our fifth annual event and each year the day is getting bigger and better,” said Maureen Riley, Spin for Kids coordinator. “There are so many ways to get involved to help children and families in our area, whether riding, volunteering, donating or simply cheering on the teams in support.”
Last year, Spin for Kids raised nearly $60,000. This year, the committee hopes to reach a goal of $70,000 to benefit kids and families in our region.
