Dr. Robin Hape Joins Altru Health Foundation’s Board of Directors
Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health Foundation announced that Dr. Robin Hape, general surgeon at Altru, has joined its board of directors as of the beginning of January.
“Dr. Hape is currently serving in a number of physician leadership responsibilities at Altru Health System, and the Foundation board saw great benefit in utilizing his leadership abilities in our mission of supporting patient care at Altru,” says Jon Green, executive director of Altru Health Foundation. “Dr. Hape will lend an important voice of the patients' needs as a practicing physician at Altru. We are fortunate to have Dr. Hape's expertise and experience on the board.”
Dr. Hape is the medical director for the Breast Center, the Cancer Liaison physician for Altru Cancer Center and the American College of Surgeons, and the clerkship director for third and fourth year University of North Dakota medical students rotating through surgery at Altru. In addition to his work with Altru Health Foundation, Dr. Hape is involved with the Women’s Pregnancy Center, an active member of HOPE Covenant Church and a clinical professor at UND, lecturing to the second year medical students.
“I’ve seen firsthand the wonderful work of Altru Health Foundation in the development of the Breast Center and the work that has been done with donor assistance to the Cancer Center. I know that our facilities are state-of-the-art, and that would not be possible without gifts to the Foundation. I hope that I can carry on the mission of Altru Health Foundation,” says Dr. Hape.
