A Safety and Efficacy Trial Evaluating the Use of Apixaban in the Treatment of Symptomatic Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism
Purpose
To compare the safety and efficacy of Apixaban versus warfarin for the treatment of symptomatic venous thromboembolism (VTE)

Key Inclusion Criteria
Acute symptomatic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE)
Key Exclusion Criteria
Can not be on dual anti-platelet therapy
