Administrative Director of Information Services at Altru Achieves CHCIO Certification

Grand Forks, ND – Mark Waind, Administrative Director of Information Services at Altru Health System, has achieved professional recognition as a Certified Health care Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) from the College of Health care Information Management Executives (CHIME).

A certified health care CIO represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development for health care chief information officers. The certification program, launched in 2009, is the only credentialing program that distinguishes health care IT executives from others in the industry.

Waind is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in business administration. He has 29 years of experience in health care, has served as the president of the Minnesota Epic Users Group (MNEUG) and is the current Vice President for the North Dakota Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) chapter.
