Altru Presents Scholarships to Local High School Graduates

Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health System recently presented scholarships to 22 local and regional high school graduates pursuing careers in healthcare or related sciences. The $200 scholarships were presented in communities where primary care services are offered by Altru. Award criteria include academic
achievement, citizenship and recommendations from a local committee consisting of a science instructor, school counselor and principal.

Each year Altru provides shadowing experiences to students from across the region. In 2014, over 1,600 shadowing experiences were coordinated. “These experiences are key to helping students determine their field of interest,” Miller says.
