Mark Waind Named Altru’s Chief Information Officer
Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health System is proud to announce that Mark Waind has been named chief information officer. Mark joined Altru’s information services team in 1997, serving as the customer support manager through 2006, then as the administrative director of information services until accepting the chief information officer position. In his new role, Mark will guide the implementation and integration of information technology throughout the health system, an integral part of Altru’s vision of delivering world-class care to the residents of our region.
Mark earned a degree in business management from the University of North Dakota. Mark is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer, serves as the North Dakota Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) chapter president and is a member of the Minnesota Epic User Group board of directors. Mark is active in the community as an AWANA Leader at Faith Evangelical Free Church. He and his wife Cindy have three sons.
