Altru Health System Receives Bomb Threat, No Actual Threat
Grand Forks, ND – At 3:01 p.m. today Altru Health System received a bomb threat via a phone call. Altru Health System staff worked with Grand Forks Police Department to quickly locate the caller. The caller was in custody by 3:20 p.m. (within 19 minutes) and has admitted that the threat was false. No action is required. Patients and staff are safe.
“Due to the quick action and formal training of our staff, we were able to assess the situation and maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff,” shared Brad Wehe, Chief Operating Officer at Altru Health System.
“The detailed information provided by staff was instrumental in resolving this situation efficiently, which allowed for successful resolution,” explained Lt. Bill Macki, Grand Forks Police Department.
