Dr. Jennifer Gowan Joins Altru’s Hearing Center

Grand Forks, N.D. – Jennifer Gowan, AuD, recently joined the audiology team at Altru’s Hearing Center. “My philosophy is knowledge is power. I use this philosophy for both myself and my patients,” says Dr. Gowan. “My practice is research based in both diagnosing and treating of hearing disorders. In addition

to this, it’s essential that my patients are well informed in their diagnosis and care plan.”

Dr. Gowan is certified by the America Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids in the state of North Dakota. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Madison-Wisconsin, where she focused on Cochlear Implants and Tinnitus Management. Prior to joining Altru, Dr. Gowan worked at Fire Audiology and Hearing Center where she gained expertise in Hearing Aids, Central Auditory Processing Disorders and Educational Audiology. 

Dr. Gowan and her husband enjoy spending time their daughter and two dogs on their family farm. They are active community members in Oslo, MN. She enjoys cooking, canning foods and craft projects.
