Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Joins Altru’s Pulmonary Critical Care Team

Grand Forks, N.D – Zulfiqar Ali, MD joins the pulmonary critical care team at Altru Health System. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Ali states, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, a small act of caring. All of which have potential to turn a life around.” 

Dr. Ali earned his medical degree from University of Health Sciences Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Sandeman Hospital in Quetta, Pakistan and at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. He also completed his Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. 

Outside of work, he enjoys politics, sports and spending time with family. In addition to English, Dr. Ali speaks fluent Urdu, Punjabi, Hindko, Pushto and Persian.
