Save the Date for the 8th Annual Spin for Kids Event

Grand Forks, ND - Altru Health System will host the 8th Annual Spin for Kids event on April 22, 2017 at Red River High School. Bike registration opens March 1, 2017 at 7 a.m. at Altru’s Medical Fitness Center (1300 S. Columbia Road, inside Altru Rehabilitation Center).

Spin for Kids is an indoor race on stationary bikes. Each team consists of eight riders that ride for 20 minutes each. The teams’ pledges provide supportive programs, services and equipment to children with special needs within our community and region. Bikes fill fast; teams are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

"Last year was a phenomenal year for Spin for Kids. We had 49 teams participate, which is the most we've had since the event started in 2010. Supporters are very passionate about this event, and it has been fun to see the creative ways teams fundraise and bring Spin for Kids out into the community," stated Spin for Kids co-chair Jessica Strand. All money raised will be disbursed to qualifying families to help ease the struggles they face every day and help children live the fullest life possible. Last year, Spin for Kids raised over $178,000. To date, over $476,000 has been raised by Spin for Kids.
