Altru Registered Dietitian Named President of NDAND

Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System is proud to share that Jennifer Haugen, a registered dietitian with Altru, has been named President-Elect of the North Dakota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She will take office on June 9, 2017. The appointment is a two year term, one as president-elect and one as president.   

Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from North Dakota State University. She is board certified in sport dietetics through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Jennifer has worked at Altru for the past five years. She focuses on health promotion and weight management, serving on Altru’s Weight Management Program team. Jennifer lives in Grand Forks with her husband Zac and their children Henry and Evelyn as well as their dogs Daphne and Lily. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and cooking.

The North Dakota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NDAND) is the advocate of the dietetic profession, serving the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health, and well-being. NDAND (formerly North Dakota Dietetic Association) was established in 1946 and has a current membership of over 300. 

Members of the North Dakota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics are current members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics who designate North Dakota as their affiliate.
