Dr. James Miles Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – James Miles, MD, joins the neurology team at Altru Health System, specializing in the treatment of neurologic diseases such as seizures, migraine headaches and developmental delays in pediatric patients. “I do my very best to address the needs of the patient and their family. This requires a multidisciplinary team that I am just one part of,” states Dr. Miles. “Treating the whole patient results in the best outcomes.”

Dr. Miles earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He completed his Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Residency, as well as his Child Neurology Fellowship, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Miles is one of three pediatric neurology specialists in the state of North Dakota.

Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and biking. Dr. Miles plays several instruments such as the bass guitar, acoustic and electric guitar. He shares his love of music by playing on the worship team at Freedom Church in Grand Forks. He especially loves to spend time with his wife, Karley, their daughter, Noryn, and their family and friends.
