Dr. Kene Mezue Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – Kene Mezue, MD, joins Altru Health System, specializing in specializing in Internal Medicine, which involves the comprehensive care of hospitalized adult patients. His research interests include studying high blood pressure and improving inpatient safety. 

“My medical philosophy is based on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, targeted to the individual’s needs, wishes and desires. The process of meeting new people, bonding with them, sharing their hopes, empathizing with their peculiar situations and working together with them to meet their health goals is something I look forward to doing for the rest of my life,” states Dr. Mezue. 

Dr. Mezue earned his medical degree from the University of Nigeria College of Medicine in Enugu, Nigeria. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in Public Health from Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, United Kingdom. Dr. Mezue completed his internal medicine residency at the Einstien Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Outside of work, Dr. Mezue enjoys badminton, soccer, theater, movies and TV shows. He also competes in national Scrabble tournaments.
