TEARS to Host Walk for Suicide Prevention on September 10

Grand Forks, N.D. – TEARS (Together We Educate About the Realities of Suicide) Suicide Prevention Project will host its seventh annual TEARS Walk for Suicide Prevention on Sunday, September 10, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Lincoln Park. The walk raises funds to bring suicide prevention resources to Grand Forks and its surrounding region. The event also provides a forum for family and friends to remember loved ones who have died by suicide.

Every fifteen minutes, someone ends their own life. Suicide affects families, friends and neighbors. More importantly, suicide is 100 percent preventable. By bringing suicide prevention awareness to light, help and support can be given for those who have considered suicide, as well as their loved ones.

To register, donate or pledge, visit altru.org/suicideprevention or call 701.780.3451. One hundred percent of the proceeds stay in the community and region.
