Orthopedic Surgeon

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is currently seeking an additional BC/BE orthopedic surgeon to join its practice. Altru recently opened a specialty hospital, Altru Specialty Center, for its Joint Replacement Center and other elective orthopedic procedures. In addition, plans were recently approved to construct new clinic space in Altru Professional Center which is on the same campus as the specialty hospital. The new space will house a growing group of orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and podiatrists in a modern facility with all the necessary amenities to build a successful, busy practice. Currently, the orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians are in the same location and benefit from a team approach to caring for patients presenting with a variety of orthopedic conditions.

Altru is the only hospital in the region to use a computer assisted navigation system in orthopedic joint replacement and holds a Level II Trauma hospital designation. Altru is contracting Trauma Orthopedic Surgeons to cover call 24/7.  This gives the Orthopedic Surgeons the option to take some call or no call.

Altru Family Medicine Residency and the University of North Dakota School of Medicineoffer teaching opportunities in family practice and general surgery. Altru is also a major sponsor of the University’s High Performance Center, scheduled to open in 2015.

Altru Health System provides competitive compensation, reviewed annually with specialty specific industry data.  Altru also offers an extensive and comprehensive benefit package including but not limited to:
