Where Can Payments Be Made?
Explanation Of Financial Responsibility
If you have medical insurance, your financial responsibility depends on the coverage provided by your policy in terms of deductibles, co-insurance, co-payments, and non-covered services. Altru will prepare your insurance claim forms for all services provided and will submit these claims to your insurance company. There is no charge for this service, but we ask you to provide the required insurance information. Please bring your insurance card with you for every visit. If you have no medical insurance, we can help you establish a payment plan.
If you have questions about your account, please call the Altru Business Center at 701.780.1500.
Explanation Of Billing Procedure
Altru patients receive one consolidated bill that itemizes services provided for each individual on your account per month. The bill clearly indicates what you owe. It is important to name one guarantor at the time of your visit check-in. This should be the person legally responsible for patient balances.
Obstetric Patients: Altru sends one combined charge that encompasses the total on a normal pregnancy and delivery after your baby has been born. This charge includes all obstetrical care through delivery; charges for ultrasounds, laboratory and other tests will continue to be billed by visit. (North Dakota and Minnesota Medicaid and self-pay patients will continue to be billed by visit.)
Yorhom Patients: Patients receiving care through Yorhom will continue to receive an Yorhom bill. This bill will be separate from a bill from Altru Clinic and Altru Hospital.
