30 Days of Running

First-time runner? Training for your first 5k? Experienced marathoner? Weekend warrior? No matter your level, commit to get moving with us throughout the month of June. The passion to live healthier is burning inside you. Now all that’s left is for you to lace up your sneaks, get up and get going!

Make The Commitment

Here’s how it works.

  1. Make the commitment by clicking "yes!" on the left.  
  2. Get moving. Start slow if you’re new. Every day, challenge yourself to a little bit more. Join classes and training programs that will help you along the way.
  3. Talk about it. Hop online and talk about how you're doing. Share pictures you’ve snapped on your run, before, during or after. Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to be part of the healthy movement.

  • Two-Mile Tuesdays
    Two miles may seem like a lot, especially for a first time runner.  Take your time. Walk when necessary. Set a goal. Before you know it you’ll be longing for more. If you're starting out, check out Red River Runners. They hold a Beginning Running Group on Tuesdays, 6 p.m. at Lincoln Park.

    Every Tuesday in June, let us know how you accomplished your two miles. You'll be entered into a drawing for a new pair of running shoes from Scheels.

  • Wild Hog Wednesday
    For the entire month of June, runners of all levels are invited to meet at Wild Hog on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for group runs. Afterward, runners can win door prizes and sign up for any of the Wild Hog races. Those who register will receive free custom Fitsoks. Discounts are also available for those who join Red River Runners Grand Forks.

  • Far as you can go Saturday
    Make Saturday your long day and go as far as you can.

    The Greenway between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks has beautiful scenic routes for any activity level. The Red River Runners offer a wide variety of running times, routes and events for you to choose from. Or, check out our Routes & Apps section below to see where others in your area are running.

    Every Saturday in June share your running goal with us. Get entered into a drawing for a prize that will help you reach your goal.
