Pre-Admission Center
The Pre-Admission Center is comprised of staff specializing in pre-registration, pre-authorization, insurance verification, surgery scheduling and pre-op teaching. These entities work together to assist a patient in planning a hospital surgery or diagnostic test. All hospital surgical patients receive these pre-operative services through the Pre-Admission Center.
The Pre-Admission Center will collect the information Altru providers need in preparation for surgery. This may be done at pre-registration or by a phone. Please have a list of current medications and dosages available.
If you foresee a need for special equipment (i.e. wheelchair), please let us know. Your surgery is important and the best way for you to prepare is to take good care of yourself, eat well and get plenty of rest.

Altru’s billing representatives are available to answer questions regarding your statement.
