Renal Dialysis

Renal Dialysis is the automated filtering of blood. It removes the chemicals from the blood that the kidneys can't.

The Renal Dialysis unit at Altru Health System offers 13 dialysis stations six days a week in Grand Forks and five stations six days a week in Devils Lake, N.D.

Altru's Renal Dialysis unit is located on the main floor of Altru Hospital.  For more information, please call 701.780.5877.

Services

Altru's Renal Dialysis program offers:

  • acute hemodialysis
  • inpatient hemodialysis
  • phoresis
  • inter-op hemodialysis 

At home peritoneal dialysis is also an option. As many as 20 patients and families are trained in home peritoneal dialysis annually. Training sessions for patients and families are available and will be arranged with your providers referral.
