As a regional-owned health system, Altru has provided outstanding healthcare for over 130 years. As we plan for the next 130 years our commitment is to provide world-class care to our communities now and for generations to come.
Stay up to date with the progress on the new hospital construction site by watching from above with the CONSTRUCTION CAMERA VIEW. Construction activity is weather dependent and subject to change based on condition. Safety remains our top priority.
Targeted to open in 2024, our new hospital will exude innovation, embody world-class care and provide the calming environment our patients, families and caregivers deserve.
With an updated budget of $380 million, Altru’s new hospital will include seven floors, space for 226 licensed patient beds, a 16-bed observation unit and an entire negative pressure unit.
Additional key patient benefits incorporated into the new hospital will include:
We also plan for better flow for our teams throughout the space, ensuring efficiency, safety and a better experience for our patients and our staff.
The growth Altru is planning in 2021 and beyond means our patients can remain close to home for world-class care. That’s Altru’s vision and one we look forward to upholding as our region’s health system.
Here, care means something more than just care. It’s about looking at our community as an extension of ourselves, and treating it as such. It’s what makes our region of the country different: Truly caring for one another. So it’s no surprise that this region’s health system is made up of the same mentality. Altru exists to care for the health of this community, but that means a lot more than health care.
