Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru announces Jenny Metz, PharmD as Pharmacy Operations Manager. Jenny has worked at Altru for over 15 years, starting as a pharmacy student. After graduation, she worked as a staff pharmacist in the hospital pharmacy for seven years. In 2015, she started her role as the Ancillary Pharmacy Supervisor. In that role, Jenny substantially grew the 340b program, built relationships with tele-pharmacy clients and critical access hospital stakeholders.
As the new Pharmacy Operations Manager, Jenny will participate in system planning and implementation of all components of the medication-use process. She will manage, develop and oversee daily operations within the pharmacy and ensure that compliance with regulatory requirements is met.
“I enjoy being able to have an impact in improving a patient’s health and well-being,” Metz says. “I recognize that the pharmacy plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team for achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes.”
Jenny graduated from North Dakota State University with a Doctor of Pharmacy education. When she is not working, Jenny enjoys spending time with her three daughters and her husband on the farm. She also enjoys time at the lake with family and attending UND hockey games.
