
Grand Forks, N.D. – Gabriel Asumeng, MD is joining Altru Health System. “I consider it a privilege to partner with my patients in working towards the restoration of health and wellbeing,” explains Dr. Asumeng. “I strive to offer the best evidence-based care available, taking into consideration my patient’s values and preferences.”
Dr. Asumeng earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He recently completed his internal medicine residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He’s also earned a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
“My goal is to model whole-person care in my practice, which emphasizes not only the physical, social and psychological aspects of health, but also acknowledges the spiritual health of an individual,” states Dr. Asumeng.
Outside of work, spending meaningful time with his wife and kids is very important to him. He enjoys traveling, motivational speaking, digital photography, soccer, writing, and cooking. In addition to English, Dr. Asumeng also speaks fluent Akan.
