Altru partners with women and children throughout every phase of their life, caring for nearly 2,000 mothers and families each year. We aim to deliver the highest quality of neonatal, pediatric and specialized care in our region to ensure the healthy growth and development of our community’s families.

    • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), caring for high-risk deliveries and critically ill infants
    • Family Birthing Center, the most technologically advanced birthing center in the region
    • Child Life Program, inspiring kids of all ages to cope and play throughout their hospital stay
    • Caring for Kids, lifting the financial burden of transportation and accommodations for families of kids with chronic conditions

Population Health & Wellness, Behavioral Health

  • By bringing together community partners, healthcare experts and generous philanthropists, Altru can be the nexus for the health and wellness transformation of our whole region. We aim to be the conduits for increasing access, developing advancement, and addressing and overcoming top community health concerns and critical diseases facing our region: cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity, as well as behavioral health and substance abuse issues.
  • Generosity in Action | Be the nexus for:
    • TEARS (Together we Educate About the Realities of Suicide), advancing community mental health and supporting families who have lost a loved one to suicide
    • Sanny and Jerry Ryan Center for Prevention and Genetics, utilizing genetic prevention measures to address inherited disease and enhance well-being
    • Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program, the first of its kind in North Dakota serving kids, adolescents and adults in need of transformational healing for behavioral health issues
