Altru Announces Manager of Safety & Security
Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System is proud to announce that Gina Wieler has accepted the position of manager of safety and security. In this role, Gina will focus on ensuring Altru’s patients, visitors and staff remain safe and secure while on our campus. She’ll lead safety training and education, as well as manage physical security efforts including access control, cameras and visitor management software.
Gina earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and recreation management from the University of North Dakota. She comes to Altru with extensive experience in law enforcement, crime prevention and emergency management. She has served as a police officer in Ramsey, Minn., and a safety specialist for Minnesota Homeland Security. A native of Walhalla, she’s happy to be back in North Dakota and closer to family after spending 20 years in the Minneapolis area.
