Kim Vigen Receives Altru’s Nursing Excellence Award

Grand Forks, ND – Kim Vigen, RN, was chosen to receive the Nursing Excellence Award by the Professional Nurse Committee at Altru Health System. Criteria for selection are based on respect and care for individuals, honesty and dependability, commitment to serve, and dedication to improvement in quality of patient care. 

Vigen was recognized for her commitment to providing exceptional care for her patients by treating them and their families with respect, dignity and courtesy. Her outstanding bedside manner and willingness to help her coworkers are examples of her dedication to her patients, to her team and to Altru. Kim is an excellent role model for new employees and students, and she continually looks for ways to improve the quality of patient care in her unit. 

The Nursing Excellence Award was established in 1986 to recognize registered nurses and licensed practical nurses who exemplify outstanding achievement as a true professional and dedication to enhancing the nursing profession.
