Mark Waind, Altru’s Chief Information Officer, Receives CPHIMS Certification
Grand Forks, ND – Altru Health System is proud to announce that Mark Waind, chief information officer, has successfully obtained his Certified Professional in Health Information Management & Systems (CPHIMS) certification. CPHIMS is internationally recognized in the industry and demonstrates commitment to improving clinical and business practices using technology across healthcare settings.
As chief information officer, Mark guides the implementation and integration of information technology throughout the health system. Mark earned a degree in business management from the University of North Dakota. Mark is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer, serves as the North Dakota Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) chapter president and is a member of the Minnesota Epic User Group board of directors. Mark is active in the community as an AWANA Leader at Faith Evangelical Free Church. He and his wife Cindy have three sons.
