Altru Announces Several New Managers
Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System is proud to announce several new managers within the health system.
Lisa Johnson, RN has accepted the position of manager of OB/GYN and pediatrics for Altru Clinic. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mayville State University. Lisa began her career with Altru six years ago as a clinic office nurse. For the past nearly four years, she has served in a leadership role as a nursing supervisor for a number of departments in Altru Main Clinic, and she currently serves on a number of leadership committees. In her new role, she will develop and implement short- and long-term goals for OB/GYN and Pediatrics and is responsible for measurable outcomes and effective use of resources. In her free time, Lisa enjoys running, yoga and spending time with family and friends.
Gabriel Mooney has accepted the position of manager of regional clinics. In this role, he will oversee daily clinic operations in Roseau and Greenbush, in addition to focusing clinic operations to mission and vision. He earned his Bachelor of Science in dietetics from North Dakota State University and Master of Science in administration with specialization in healthcare from University of South Dakota. Previously, Gabriel has served as director of food and nutrition services at Catholic Health Initiatives and director of hospitality services at LifeCare Medical Center. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and new daughter, officiating wrestling, hunting and being outdoors.
Jessica Strand has accepted the position of manager of physical medicine and outpatient therapy. In this role, she will oversee adult and pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services, transportation program, Altru’s Medical Fitness Center and various specialty clinics. She earned her Master of Science in physical therapy from the University of North Dakota. Jessica has been a supervisor in Physical Medicine and Therapy for the past four years, with ten years of direct patient care experience in outpatient physical therapy prior. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and attending her kids’ many activities.
Rhonda Roed has accepted the position of manager of inpatient rehabilitation and therapy services. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the inpatient rehabilitation program, inpatient therapy services at Altru Specialty Center and Altru Hospital, the physiatry clinic practice and specialty clinics. Rhonda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational therapy from the University of North Dakota, and she is also a certified lymphedema therapist and assistive technology practitioner. She has over 20 years of experience as a registered and licensed occupational therapist, and has served as supervisor of Physical Medicine and Therapy Services for two years. Outside of work, Rhonda enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending and volunteering for her children’s activities, watching UND athletics, skiing and reading.
Courtney Caron has accepted the position of manager of respiratory care services. In this role, she will be responsible for Inpatient Respiratory Therapy, Grand Forks Sleep Center, Devils Lake Sleep Center, Pulmonary Function Lab and Neurodiagnostic Lab. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree as a respiratory care practitioner at Northwest Technical College. During her years at Altru, Courtney has specialized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, become certified as a COPD Educator and a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, and started the Respiratory Disease Management program. She has served as supervisor of this program and respiratory supervisor of the NICU since 2015. In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and running her three boys to hockey events.
Robin Loegering, RN has accepted the position of manager of Altru's Family Birthing Center and Women & Children unit. In this role, she will work with supervisors of each unit to create the best experience for patients and staff. She earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and nursing at the University of North Dakota. Robin has been a patient care coordinator on Women and Children since 2014 and brings a wide range of business, leadership and nursing experience to this position, including surgery, NICU and ICU. Outside of work, Robin enjoys traveling, woodworking, camping, singing, repairing computers and spending time with family and friends.
Heather Bergeron, RN has accepted the position of manager of family medicine. In this role, she will work closely with physicians, advanced practitioners, nursing staff and ancillary departments to manage, develop and oversee daily operations at Altru Family Medicine Center, Family Medicine at Altru Professional Center and Altru Clinic in Drayton. Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mayville State University. Through her over 17 years of nursing experience at Altru, she has served in clinic, oncology and internal medicine, most recently serving as clinic nursing supervisor. Heather and her husband have four daughters and a beagle. She enjoys reading, watching movies, spending weekends at the lake in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
