Altru to Hold Steps of Love Walk to Remember Babies Lost in Pregnancy or Infancy

Grand Forks, N.D. –Altru’s Wings of Hope Bereavement Services will hold their second annual Steps of Love Walk to remember babies lost during pregnancy or as infants. The walk is the culmination of The Week of Remembrance, which aims to raise awareness in the community and provide support for all grieving families. 

The Steps of Love walk will be held at the Grand Cities Mall on Saturday, October 14. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:00 a.m. The suggested donation is $20 per adult, all children can participate for free and strollers are welcome. All proceeds will go to support Altru’s Wings of Hope Bereavement Services.  

Other events during the Week of Remembrance (October 9 – 14) will include:

  • Daily vigils in Altru’s Chapel as a chance to quietly remember those that have gone before us.

  • An interactive “grief speaks” wall available all week to share memories of those lost. This will be located in the hallway between Altru Hospital and 1300 Columbia Rd.

  • On Tuesday, October 10 at 7 p.m. a panel discussion will be held on end of life customs around the world in the 2nd floor cafeteria of 1300 Columbia Rd.
