Dr. Erica Wiegandt Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – Erica Wiegandt, OD, joins the optometry team at Altru Health System. She cares for patients by providing glasses and contact lens exams, as well as other exams to evaluate red eyes, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and other ocular diseases. 

“I have a passion for teaching patients that healthy eyes mean much more than 20/20 vision and ensuring that my patients understand their eye health,” states Dr. Wiegandt. “I enjoy serving my community and sharing my passion by helping to enhance patients’ lives through quality and personalized eye care.” 

Dr. Wiegandt earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Outside of work, Dr. Wiegandt enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going to the lake, hiking and reading. She also teaches Financial Peace University at HOPE Church in Grand Forks.
