Dr. Serge Rasskazoff Joins Altru Health System

Grand Forks, N.D. – Serge Rasskazoff, MD is a double trained, board-certified neurosurgeon at Altru Health System, and specializes in treating patients with face, back and leg pain. He is skilled in modern surgical techniques in areas of complex spine surgery, stereotactic minimal access brain microneurosurgery, and functional surgery for pain with neuromodulation. He has extensive neurosurgical experience with computer-assisted preoperative planning and intraoperative neuronavigation based on image-guidance. 

Dr. Rasskazoff earned his medical degree from National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine in 1993, and completed his first neurosurgery residency training at National Academy for Postgraduate Education in Kiev in 1998. He completed his second neurosurgery residency at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He went on to complete his Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery fellowship in 2012 at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois. In 2015, Dr. Rasskazoff completed his Complex Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He is the only neurosurgeon in Grand Forks, ND who has post-residency training in spine surgery and spine pain neuromodulation. He is also fluent in Russian and Ukrainian language.
