Mark Krisburg, MD Joins Occupational Medicine Team at Altru

Grand Forks, N.D. – Dr. Mark Krisburg has joined the occupational medicine team with Altru’s Employer Health Solutions. He specializes in work-related injuries, pre-employment physicals, OSHA silica surveillance exams, DOT driver examinations and more. Dr. Krisburg began his medical career as a cardiothoracic surgeon and maintained a successful practice for thirteen years. He transitioned to occupational medicine and has been working in this specialty for the past eighteen years.

“I am motivated by helping others with difficult and stressful injuries and illness,” Dr. Krisburg mentions. “I enjoy the challenge of making a difficult diagnosis and guiding my patients back to health.”

Dr. Krisburg studied electrical engineering and medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed his residency training in general surgery at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Krisburg’s cardiothoracic fellowship was completed at Emory University in Atlanta. Outside of work, Dr. Krisburg’s interests include internet technologies and their application to enhance the quality of patient care and the patient’s experience.
