Altru Family YMCA Partners with Altru to Prepare Children For An Active Future

Grand Forks, N.D. - Altru Family YMCA and Altru are excited to announce a partnership opportunity in Grand Forks: Beginning June 14, Altru Family YMCA will utilize the training space at Altru Performance Center to offer Youth Sports Acceleration training.

“The focus of these programs is to prepare children for an active future,” said Adam Sorum, Healthy Living Director at Altru Family YMCA. “The programs are designed to help improve general athleticism, but participants don't have to be athletes.”

The program offerings will prepare kids for lifting weights for sports and general well-being. Altru Family YMCA already partners with Altru in several avenues serving populations, including those with chronic conditions, through various successful programming options and are excited to add this program to our current YMCA Sports Academy offerings.

“We are eager for the opportunity to collaborate in our training facility,” said Jennifer Estad, Director of Orthopedics and Neurosciences at Altru. “Altru Family YMCA and Altru are strong partners in supporting our community’s wellness. Along with our recently announced partnership with Choice Health & Fitness, we will continue to use Altru Performance Center to support our youth development and the community’s health and wellness.”
