Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) is a 16 hour course designed to provide a core level pediatric knowledge and psychomotor care for the pediatric patients in the emergency setting. This course presents the systematic assessments and integrates the associated anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology and identifies appropriate intervention.
ENPC verfication is issued from ENA to RN's upon successful completion of the course. Verificiation renewal is every four years. CECH's are awarded to all participants based on hours attended.
Upon completion of this course the participant will have demonstrated the ability to:
- Teach participants to recognize the ill or injured child
- Identify subtle changes in the less acute child
- Teach pediatric trauma and resuscitation
- The goal is to improve the care of pediatric patients
