Please join us for an Open House to see the truck and the specialty mannequins used by the SIM-ND Altru Team led by Alyssa Geatz.
The Simulation in Motion - North Dakota (SIM-ND) is a program that provides educational opportunities for Altru Health System, the Critical Access Hospitals, and EMS units in the region. This education is provided in a 45-foot truck. One side of the truck is designed to look and function as the inside of an ambulance. The other side is designed as a room in an ER. The program involves the use of special high fidelity mannequins that talk, breathe, and have a pulse. Many procedures can be performed on the mannequins. We have adult, OB, pediatric, and infant simulators. There are over 70 educational scenarios. Examples include trauma, medical, fire in the OR, and OB emergencies.
Location: Look for the giant truck that will be located outside by the ER/MRI area.
