Eligibility:
Qualifying nurses with less than 12 months of acute RN experience will be automatically enrolled in the program.
Do I need a bachelor’s degree?
No, all nurses regardless of degree level with less than 12 months of acute
RN experience, will be automatically enrolled in the program.
Will I be hired into a specific RN position, or will I be hired into the
Nurse Residency Program and choose my permanent position after the program
completes?
You will be hired into a specific inpatient unit. You will complete the
NRP program in conjunction with working in your unit. Your schedule will
be adjusted to accommodate NRP attendance.
How often is the program offered?
Generally, 5 times per year.
If hired, what shifts/hours will I work?
The leader determines the position requirements for the unit you are hired
into. Your schedule will be adjusted to accommodate NRP attendance.
Will I be paid?
Yes, you will be paid for all NRP hours completed.
