Student placement process

Application for Advance Practice Provider & Practicum Students

Deadline for Applications:
Fall semester: May 1
Spring semester: Sept 1
Summer semester: Feb 1

  1. School coordinator/program representative will submit application through the Student Portal.
  2. Students will be notified by the following dates of acceptance/denial of application:
    • Fall semester: May 30
    • Spring semester: Sept 30
    • Summer semester: Feb 28
  3. School coordinator/program representative will receive communication regarding orientation compliance for student(s) upon acceptance of student application.
  4. Student will receive login information and a link to the electronic orientation upon acceptance of application.

Submission of Undergrad student information

Please submit student information at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester.

  1. School coordinator/program representative will submit application through the Student Portal.
  2. School coordinator will receive communication regarding orientation compliance for student(s) upon acceptance of student application.
  3. Student will receive login information and a link to the electronic orientation upon acceptance of application.

Requirements

Advance Practice Provider & Practicum Students

  • Prior to the start of an approved rotation with Altru Health System, a current affiliation agreement with the applicant’s program must be on file.
  • Once the application is received the Clinical Education office will communicate on the applicant’s behalf.
  • Once the rotation has been approved a mandatory online student orientation module must be completed prior to start date.
