Save the date for the next Altru Cancer Center Golf Tournament: June 8, 2023

The 2022 Altru Cancer Center Golf Tournament was held on June 9, 2022 at the Grand Forks Country Club. 160 golfers, 54 sponsors, and dozens of volunteers joined together to raise over $138,000 to directly support patient care by benefiting the Filling the Gap program making the 20th annual tournament a major success!

Filling the Gap is designed to reduce the financial burden and overwhelming costs of seeking treatment for patients with cancer and their families including financial assistance for travel, overnight accommodations, and nutrition. Because of the annual golf tournament and the generosity of donors and sponsors, in 2021, Filling the Gap was able to provide:

• 179 patients with gas gift cards
• Lodging for 60 patients totaling more than 500 overnight stays at Altru’s Sunshine Hospitality Home and local hotels
• 382 patients with 1,115 cases of Ensure nutrition drinks

“It was one thing I could check off the list of things I didn’t have to worry about. I was very blessed by this program. I thank God for Filling the Gap,” Valorie Letkeman, Altru Cancer Center patient said.
