About Me

Alyssa Tate is a speech-language pathologist at Altru hospital and inpatient rehab. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys reading fiction novels, spending time with her significant other, family and friends, cooking and eating new foods, and spending time her German Shorthaired Pointer puppy and cat. She enjoys continuing her education in her free time to provide the best evidence based practice for her patients.

Philosophy of Medicine

"I approach patients as if they were a member of my family. I ensure they would get the type of treatment I would want my family to have. I am motivated to help individuals eat their favorite foods and tell people close to them I love you after a big life change such as a stroke."
