Ashlyn Kamrath, MD

Ashlyn Kamrath is a family medicine resident at Altru Family Medicine Residency. She provides care for all ages, from newborns to end of life in the inpatient and outpatient setting. She can perform minor surgeries including removal of skin lesions and joint injections. During her free time, Dr. Kamrath enjoys spending quality time with family, friends, and her dog, as well as enjoying the outdoors and making lefse.

Philosophy of Medicine

"My philosophy of medicine is to care for the whole patient, not just treat disease. I strive to accomplish this by listening to my patients, developing a level of trust and understanding regarding their care. I am inspired by my patients, their families, and our community. I enjoy caring for patients in all stages of life, from birth to end-of-life care. Growing up in rural North Dakota I was surrounded by fantastic health care providers who taught me the importance of caring for the whole person. I strive to treat each patient like those providers treated me; with care, compassion, and respect."
