Philosophy of Medicine

As a trauma surgeon, most of the patients I meet will not present on an elective basis. It is my priority to demonstrate to the patient they are in good hands when they are at their most vulnerable. I strongly believe in direct communication and will relentlessly advocate for my patient's best surgical management and rehabilitation interests.

I didnt realize until I left that I wasnt given any real instructions or assistance about mobility or how to deal with a broken leg. I think I was shocked or nervous to think to ask questions

The doctor answered questions pre-surgery. I felt I was well cared for by the doctors and staff on this day. I was happy that our questions were answered and that I understood what the next steps were in my surgery to get me well again.
