Philosophy of Medicine
"The skin is not only the largest organ of the body, it's also the only part of us that we show the world. Receiving a cancer diagnosis is always scary, and learning that you need skin surgery (particularly on the face) can be overwhelming due to concerns about healing and scarring. I love being a Mohs micrographic surgeon, because the Mohs technique has the highest cure rate for these cancers while conserving as much normal skin as possible. I am also trained in advanced reconstructive techniques, which allows me to repair the wounds with excellent cosmetic results. I'm so excited to provide these services at Altru, and I am also looking forward to getting to know my patients and providing them with excellent care both in and out of the procedure room."
