Reed Lambert, DO,MS

About Reed

Reed Lambert, DO, is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon at Altru Advanced Orthopedics. Dr. Lambert fell in love with orthopedics because it allows him as a surgeon to have a direct impact on a patient’s life, particularly their quality of life. He is motivated and inspired by the people he meets on a daily basis who are seeking help to improve their quality of life. He grew up in a rural community in southeastern Montana, very similar to the small towns scattered across North Dakota & Minnesota. As much as he understands the joy of living in this part of the country, he also understands the struggles, which can include access to healthcare. Your time is valuable and he will do his best to ensure you get the most out of every procedure and every office visit. Dr. Lambert looks forward to working with and caring for the people of Grand Forks. Him and his wife have three children who keep them very busy. On any given day they could be at dance, gymnastics, basketball, skating, or swimming lessons. Like many families, their interests and activities occupy much of their free time. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, shooting, & watching football or basketball.

Philosophy of Medicine

Medicine is centered around problem solving; it requires lifelong learning and challenges you daily. I pursued a career in medicine because it allows me to combine my skills and interests while taking care of people and providing a service to my community. In particular, I find orthopedic surgery selfishly gratifying. Patients often present with an injury or condition that prohibits them from being able to do what they enjoy. Helping them get back to doing what they enjoy is what I enjoy most. This is how I approach patient care; how can we work together to get you back to doing what you love most.

Dr.Lambert has been amazing with me from day one. I really could tell his concerns for what we had to deal with to heal my arm up. He took time and went over every X-ray he did , he came up with plans and he always followed through about how my physical therapy was going.I highly recommend him. And I would definitely feel comfortable seeing him again or telling family and friends how good he was!
