Preparing for Your Visit

Over the course of your surgery, recovery and rehabilitation, we want you to be fully informed and prepared.

Joint Replacement Center patients attend a comprehensive pre-op education class, which covers:

  • pre-op physical therapy,
  • the course of your hospitalization and
  • discharge planning.

During your stay, you will participate with other joint replacement patients in group physical therapy. To promote a sense of wellness, we encourage you to wear your own clothes while in the hospital. Our expert team will work with you to meet your physical goals, as well as nurture your spirit.

Recovery Coach

Recovering from joint replacement is easier if you have someone to help you along the way. That’s why the role of your coach is so important to your recovery.

Your coach is a person you designate for support and to help you prepare for and recover from your joint replacement procedure. This can be a spouse, friend or family member who will help and encourage you throughout the experience.
