Grand Forks, ND – Altru’s Bereavement Services will hold its annual Candlelight Memorial Service on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the main lobby of Altru Hospital. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with time to personalize your ornament prior to the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and the evening will conclude outside at the Angel of Hope Statue, weather permitting.
The memorial service is dedicated to all babies who have died before or shortly after birth, or in early childhood. Families are invited to create an ornament with us for placement on the tree in the lobby in remembrance of their child. To request an ornament, please contact Altru’s Pastoral Services at 701.780.5300 or bjjung@altru.org with the following information by Monday, December 3: child’s name, date, or year of death, your name, address, and phone number. If you have not named your child, please use “Baby [Last Name]”.
There is no cost for the ornament. Ornaments will remain on the tree until January 5, 2019, when they will be removed and available for pick up in Altru’s Pastoral Care (located on the main level of Altru Hospital) until February 1, 2019. Ornaments not picked up will be discarded.
