Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru has entered its final week of preparation to open Altru Performance Center with plans to be fully operational on March 4, 2019. Altru Performance Center is located at 1375 S. Columbia Road across the street from Altru’s Main Campus. The new facility will be the new home of physical, occupational, hand, speech, and pediatric therapy services. Yorhom rehabilitation technology, Altru Sports Advantage powered by EXOS, regional therapy services’ office, and chiropractic services will move to Altru Performance Center later this spring.

Altru Performance Center’s new pediatric therapy space will feature a state-of-the-art sensory gym that includes two rock climbing walls, a two-story play structure, a zip-line, and much more. Adult therapy patients can anticipate an expanded gym space and larger treatment rooms and Altru’s Sports Advantage powered by EXOS will also have additional space, equipment, and expanded services.

"We are excited to open this new facility to accommodate the needs of our therapy patients and human performance clients,” Jenny Estad, Director of Orthopedics and Neurosciences mentions. “Altru Performance Center will provide our team new opportunities to better serve our patients with world-class care.”

Altru has partnered with DIRTT for most of the interior space to prevent material waste in Altru Performance Center. This internal wall solution is made up of 42.5% recycled content. Over 28,000 pounds of drywall waste has been prevented from entering the landfill.
