Altru to Host Marketplace Open Enrollment Events for Individuals Needing Insurance

Grand Forks, N.D. – Altru Health System’s HERO (Healthcare Eligibility Resource Options) program will hold two extended hours of open enrollment events to assist in navigating the steps of obtaining health insurance through the Marketplace. The Marketplace allows uninsured and underinsured individuals to compare healthcare options including free and reduced health-cost plans. This is also the window that individuals may change their existing plan to a new one. Certified application counselors from Altru will assist with each step of finding health insurance that fits personal or family needs.

Open enrollment events:
• Tuesday, November 19, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Altru Business Center, 2401 DeMers Avenue
• Tuesday, December 10, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Open enrollment is a limited period that begins November 1, 2019, and ends December 15, 2019 (Minnesota residents have until December 23, 2019), where individuals can sign up for health insurance for 2020. Enrollees should bring financial information, (tax return, pay stub, W-2) and identification card (social security numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants).
